Dodik Disturbed By Becirovic’s Words: RS Will Go Its Own Way If Such Pressures Continue

The President of Republika Srpska (RS) Milorad Dodik and member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Zeljka Cvijanovic responded to Denis Becirovic after he yesterday told the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic that he is not authorized to interpret the laws of the state of BiH.

Dodik said that RS was attacked by Becirovic “and that ideology which carries within itself the destruction of Dayton.”

Who knows for how many times in the past several weeks he repeated that “the constitutional order of BiH is being intervened in by a foreigner who has no authority, and that the Bosniaks are accepting this as final.”

“We are indeed being attacked, but just as Becirovic knows, we know how we will defend ourselves and we will defend ourselves,” said Dodik.

Dodik said that if such pressures continue, RS has its own path “whether they like it or not.”

“Vucic was completely right,” stated Dodik.

He emphasized that “Becirovic is only one third, he is not BiH and cannot speak in the name of BiH.”

“That is why BiH is under attack, because he speaks in its name. He could have said he was speaking as the Bosniak member of the Presidency, that he has his own position,” emphasized Dodik.

Cvijanovic stated that Becirovic is not authorized to represent the positions of BiH.

“Also, Becirovic is neither authorized nor invited to interpret the positions of RS, and the institutions and citizens of RS, which makes up 49 percent of BiH’s territory, feel threatened by the constant efforts of political Sarajevo to privatize the joint institutions of BiH and to impose the positions and wishes of Bosniak politicians on the representatives of other peoples,” said Cvijanovic.

She also said “that it is endlessly miserable that on the day when Serbia and RS are commemorating the suffering of hundreds of thousands of victims in the Jasenovac death factory, most of whom were Serbs, it is precisely the Bosniak member of the Presidency of BiH, as one of the three, who thinks he has the right to comment on the position of RS, while the President of RS or the President of Serbia supposedly do not.”

“This is yet another example of who is suffocating BiH,” concluded Cvijanovic, Klix.ba writes.

It should be recalled that Becirovic was commenting on Vucic’s statement from Donja Gradina in which he said that Serbia and RS are being attacked “from within and from outside.”
