SNSD President Milorad Dodik commented for RTRS on the issue of the election of a new high representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, saying that the administration of the United States of America gives him hope regarding the future of the Office of the High Representative (OHR).
Dodik said that he was “glad” that there was a split between the USA and European countries on this issue.
“I am glad that there is a confrontation between the Western elites. International interventionism, especially with Christian Schmidt, has made BiH completely impossible,” said Dodik.
The President of the SNSD gave his assessment of the events from the session of the Steering Committee of the Peace Implementation Council (PIC), that is, the positions of the countries of the European Union and Great Britain.
“They experienced a total fiasco. We understand that the new political elite in America is determined to solve the problem of interventionism with claims that they do not want to govern other countries and build other nations. Everything collapsed and of course it was expected to happen. The Americans understood this and want to get out of it,” said Dodik.
He particularly emphasized the position that “the high representative is not a matter for foreign countries to decide”, and then continued with his recognizable rhetoric.
“Today’s American administration gives some hope and if this is not resolved in this time, we will have to lead some form of liberation struggle, and that can be done through politics,” he said.
Dodik also pointed out that “BiH was not created to survive but to suffer” and that “the problem is that we need to get out of that suffering”, thus continuing with his secessionist rhetoric.
He continued with criticism and insults at the expense of the European Union, saying that this bloc “lies” and that “nothing believes them”. He spoke about the messages from the EU-Western Balkans Summit, which is being held in Montenegro.
“I believe that this is a trick, a bluff in which they are trying to trap us, drag us in, so that tomorrow, through joint security and foreign policies, they will force our young men to be in their armed formations and go to war with Russia, maybe with America, China. We will not do that. We will remain neutral in all of this”, is the opinion of the former president of the RS.
A particularly controversial part of the interview refers to the classification of Denis Bećirović, a member of the BiH Presidency, whom he said is a “Muslim member of the Presidency” and that he “addresses himself in his own name and falsely presents it as the position of BiH”.
