Dodik met with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu

After arriving in Istanbul for a meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency Member Milorad Dodik released a video of the two officials’ greetings. The meeting is now over, and both have commented.

Dodik said that the meeting was good and that the Turkish minister showed hospitality.

He said they had revived the idea of ​​a meeting of BiH leaders with Turkish, Serbian and Croatian presidents as mediators in the agreement.

“We have rehabilitated an old topic again, and that is that through a trilateral meeting with Erdogan as President of Turkey, Zoran Milanovic as President of Croatia and Aleksandar Vucic as President of Serbia, and three representatives of the Serb, Croat and Bosniak people from BiH,” Dodik said.

“BiH finds additional energy and the will to make a certain agreement that would further stabilize the situation in BiH itself,” Dodik said.

He also said that they inevitably talked about the war in Ukraine, and Dodik said that “we share significant attitudes and values ​​with Turkey”.

“We appreciate that there is no need to be on anyone’s side, that we should be on the side of peace, that we should look at the position of our country,” Dodik said.

Mevlut Cavusoglu also took to posted a photo with Milorad Dodik on Twitter.

“I met with Milorad Dodik, a member of the BiH Presidency. We discussed developments in our region, especially in BiH,” Cavusoglu wrote briefly.
