Dodik: MP Amir Hurtic will have all Institutional Support

Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik condemned the attack on MP Amir Hurtić, who was left without a car in an incident that, he said, appears to have elements of a deliberate threat to his safety and property.

“This act represents an attack not only on the private property of the MP, but also on the dignity of the institution of the National Assembly of the RS. In the interest of society and political stability, I expect the competent authorities to shed light on this case as soon as possible and prosecute those responsible,” Dodik said on the social network “X”.

Dodik condemned every form of violence and intimidation, regardless of political, national or religious affiliation.

“I spoke with MP Hurtić and told him that I will have all institutional support. Republika Srpska must remain a place where laws passed in the Parliament, not the law of the street, rule,” Dodik said.

A Volkswagen owned by Amir Hurtić, a member of the BH Greens-SDA parliamentary group in the RS National Assembly, burned down last night in front of his family home in the Doboj neighborhood of Grapska.

The Doboj Police Department announced that the prosecutor on duty at the Doboj District Prosecutor’s Office has not yet qualified the case of the fire, but that he has ordered that necessary measures and actions be taken to clarify all the facts and circumstances of this event.
