Dodik: Republika Srpska and Serbia will be the same one Day!

Dodik about RS and Serbia faktor.baThe President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik stated yesterday that there will be no one in the B&H entity RS who does not think it is inevitable that one day Republika Srpska and Serbia will be the same in state-legal and political sense.

“Many people think that way. And yet, the history and policies in the past 20 years made it not be that way”, Dodik said in an interview for Sputnjik. Dodik assessed that the westerlies do not like that people in Republika Srpska and Serbia live as a unique ethnic area, i.e. as a unique state.

Dodik said that Serbia is a guarantor of the Dayton Agreement and that it showed to be a very fair and loyal partner of Republika Srpska, while on the other side the B&H entity RS has an internal capacity to, using the international law, defend its law.

When asked whether he is staying persistent to the referendum on the court and prosecution of B&H, Dodik answered “of course”.

“We are not into adventures. We consider it to be legitimate and legal, allowed by law, the Constitution of the Republika Srpska allows it, and the Constitution of B&H does not ban it”, Dodik added.

Asked whether he expects the strikes similar to the British resolution on Srebrenica, given that the 20th anniversary of Dayton is approaching, Dodik assessed that the attempt will not pass in the Security Council of the UN by the same system.

“Therefore, we are thankful to those who fight for international law. We are convinced that the West has bad intentions towards what is the position of Serb peoples in B&H and especially in its organizational formation called Republika Srpska, and we believe it is absolutely wrong to expect to favor such people and political elites, relentless through history, by patting on their shoulders and servility”, Dodik said.

Dodik also assessed that the revision of Dayton has already been done by the high representatives, and what is evident now is the legalization of the violation of Dayton. “Dayton has a stipulated mechanism for possible revision, and that is for the parties to agree upon how to go on. And the parties are again defined precisely by the Dayton Agreement, and those are Republika Srpska and the Federation”, Dodik said.
