The member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Milorad Dodik (SNSD) said yesterday that Germany in BiH cannot have the trust of the Serbs and Republika Srpska(RS), bearing in mind the adopted resolution in the Bundestag. He opposes the arrival of German soldiers in BiH.
Commenting on the arrival of German soldiers as part of EUFOR’s operation “Althea”, Dodik noted that Serbs do not decide who makes up that team, they cannot do anything and can only have their own opinion.
“Taking into account, especially recently, Germany’s policy that was reflected in the issues of their resolution in the Bundestag that they passed, we cannot have confidence in that military structure and that this is exclusively related to that segment. Taking into account that that resolution of the Bundestag said that the constitutional and legal order is encroached upon, that is a typical interference in the affairs of a country,” Dodik told reporters in Bosanski Novi.
He repeated that he is against the arrival of German soldiers, as he stated, if that means anything, but that it obviously cannot be stopped.
“We will point out all these moments and elements why I am against it. Us Serbs, and RS cannot have trust in Germany here, not only because of its historical, but also current approaches to BiH, bearing in mind the previously adopted resolution in the Bundestag, which speaks of the need to change the political system and concentrate everything at the level of BiH, abolish the entities, and we cannot trust and support such a policy of Germany and its presence here,” Dodik stressed.
The first soldiers of the German military contingent in operation “Althea” arrived on August 15th, and the rest will be deployed in stages, Klix.ba reports.
