More than 140,000 Tourists Visits recorded in BiH in February

Between January and February 2019, tourists realized 141,114 visits, which is higher by 9.8% and realized 333,530 overnight stays, which is by more than 12.4% compared to the same period of 2018.

The number of domestic tourist’ overnight stays increased by 6.7%, while the number of foreign tourist overnight stays increased by 15.6% compared to the same period of 2018. In the total number of nights spent, the participation of domestic tourists is 33.7%, while 66.3% is the participation of foreign tourists.

Most of the overnight stays were realized by tourists from Croatia (30.7%), Serbia (18.3%), Slovenia (6.9%), Turkey (3.5%), Italy (3.2% , Montenegro (3.0%), Germany (2.8%) and Austria and China (by 2.4%), which is a total of 73.2%. Tourists from other countries realized 26.8% of overnight stays.

As for the length of stay of foreign tourists, Estonia is the first with an average 5.4 night stay, Latvia with 5.2 nights, Island with 4.9 nights and Finland with 4.7 nights.

According to the type of accommodation, the largest number of overnight stays was realized within hotel and similar accommodation with a participation of 93.7%.
