President of the entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH),Republika Srpska (RS) and the leader of the SNSD said yesterday that he sent a proposal to Brussels for a plan to de-escalate the crisis in BiH.
As he said in a statement to the media, the proposal implies “stating what is stated in the Constitution, which is that BiH is composed of two entities and three constituent peoples, divided territorially according to the principle of 49:51 and that we should respect that, as we should respect the constitution of the peoples“.
This, he states, is the basis on which BiH can move forward.
He stated that operationally, it was proposed that all open issues be considered, that is, that 14 priorities from the Opinion of the European Commission be resolved together.
“The European Union (EU) expects us to accept 14 recommendations and to adopt three as evidence of progress, but we believe that this was deliberately chosen, and that one of the recommendations, which talks about solving the problem of foreign judges in the Constitutional Court of BiH, was deliberately left behind. Our question is logical – if you have 14 recommendations that state that, why did you single out these three and not this one,” Dodik told reporters in Banja Luka.
It should be recalled that two days ago, the leaders of the Coalition of Three parties met in Sarajevo, but they did not present a proposal for a plan to de-escalate the crisis in BiH.
Apart from them, HDZ will also submit the plan, and as Dragan Covic said after the meeting with the EU delegation last week, they will insist on solving issues related to the Constitutional Court and the Election Law in BiH.
However, it should be taken into account that Dodik is already successfully trading with the international community, but he also skillfully conditions his partners from the government. He would withdraw disputed laws against the Constitutional Court and Office of the High Representative (OHR), but with the condition that 14 priorities are adopted in the package, with the request that foreign judges be expelled from the Constitutional Court, Klix.ba reports.
