Dodik to talk with Citizens of Srebrenica today?

dodik2The President of Republika Srpska (RS) Milorad Dodik will talk today with citizens of Srebrenica.

In the last few days, Srebrenica is in the center of discussion of politicians in BiH once again.

After the decision of the Constitutional Court of RS to hold a referendum on the 9th of January as the Day of RS, Sadik Ahmetovic, the Vice President of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) and a deputy in the Parliament of BiH, announced that this party will propose a referendum on the separation of Srebrenica from the RS.

“Considering that Srebrenica is area where the genocide was committed, we have been accepting this space and the RS ever since, hoping that it would democratize and accept the other and different. However, this never happened, and it is getting even worse. We will open the possibility for the citizens of Srebrenica to declare whether they want to live within the framework of the Constitution that does not protect their basic human rights,” said Ahmetovic.

Milorad Dodik believes that this would be an invasion on the territory of the RS and violation of the Dayton Agreement.
