Dodik: US Ambassador is disrupting the renewed Relations between the Nations

The President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik commented on yesterday’s meeting of the Troika, HDZ and SNSD in the BiH Parliament, saying that the representatives of all parties in power showed yesterday that they are serious and that they want solutions and an agreement.

“We had a fair meeting that promises that Bosnia and Herzegovina can expect the opening of negotiations with the European Union soon,” said Dodik.

He claims that the RS and the Federation have made enormous progress in implementing the necessary reforms and that it is good to hear that their efforts have been recognized in the European Union.

“But what is dangerous are false promises. We are tired of hearing stories about how we are so close and yet so far. We expect an open and honest approach and an exact date. These days, representatives from the EU have clearly said that they support the agreement of domestic leaders and that’s their position that we’ve been listening to for a long time,” said Dodik.

He spoke again about the fact that the RS will declare independence if the High Representative Christian Schmidt passes the Law on State Property.

“If by chance he makes a decision on property, which is illegal from a self-proclaimed person, we will make a decision on independence. This is not conditioning, we just want to work in accordance with the constitutional powers,” said Dodik.

He stated that he also understood the leaders of other parties, partners at the BiH level, that they consider it unacceptable for Schmidt to impose anything regarding the electoral process in BiH.

He believes that the introduction of mandatory voting would be an interesting practice and that it is necessary to clear up all relations related to the elections, so that they are fair and honest.

“At the same time, threats and messages that contradict the messages coming from the EU arrive daily from the American embassy. It is no coincidence that just before the meeting of party representatives yesterday, the American ambassador tried to nullify and invalidate Mrs. Einchorst’s statement, which clearly said that in Europe they stand for domestic solutions and an agreement,” said Dodik.

He added that it is clear that Michael Murphy has the support of US Assistant Secretary for European and Eurasian Affairs James O’Brien.

“Surrounded by O’Brien and his coercive support, the undesirable US ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, who with his criminal activities and undiplomatic behavior once again damaged the restoration of relations between the peoples, continued to threaten and issue orders where the seat of the appeals court should be,” he said.

He thinks it’s clear that O’Brien was forced to come here to “iron out” the mess Murphy made, Klix.ba writes.
