Members of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) carried out an operation codenamed “Hyena” in the area of Sarajevo, during which four persons suspected of organized crime were detained.

Searches were carried out at three locations, and items were found that can serve as evidence in the further course of criminal proceedings, namely: about 130 grams of the narcotic drug cocaine, a digital scale for accurately measuring the weight of narcotic drugs, several mobile phones, computers and other electronic devices for storing data, documentation related to the purchase of real estate and other material evidence, SIPA announced.

Four persons were deprived of their liberty due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that they had committed criminal acts, organized crime in connection with criminal acts, unauthorized traffic in narcotic drugs, unauthorized traffic in weapons and military equipment and dual-use products, money laundering from the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and infliction of grievous bodily harm injury and damage to other people’s property from the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The searches were carried out by order of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in cooperation with the Intelligence and Security Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Ministries of Internal Affairs of the Republika Srpska, Sarajevo Canton, Zenica-Doboj Canton and the Federal Police Administration.

It is a case in which SIPA police officers, in coordination with the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, have been working for a long time on documenting the aforementioned criminal acts, and the findings were obtained by analyzing the crypto-protected applications Anom and Sky.

In the aforementioned case, cooperation was achieved with the police authorities of the Kingdom of Spain and the Kingdom of Sweden.

Persons deprived of liberty, after criminal processing and interrogation in the official premises of the State Agency for Investigation and Protection, will be handed over to the further jurisdiction of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.
