The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, said today that a decree is being prepared to ban the entry of the High Representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Christian Schmidt, into Republika Srpska.
“This morning we are writing a decree that we will arrest and deport him when he enters Doboj or if he goes somewhere in transit, then he will be escorted just to get through as soon as possible. If he comes to a meeting in Republika Srpska – he will be kicked out,” Dodik told reporters in East Sarajevo.
He said that the police stations will be tasked with organizing units and evicting him when Schmidt finds himself in Republika Srpska.
“And that will happen, don’t think that it won’t. The decree is being written and when I return to Banja Luka we will finish it,” said Dodik.
He asked “what kind of rule of law is the head of the EU Delegation in Bosnia and Herzegovina Johan Sattler talking about?”
“Is the rule of law for Schmidt, who was not appointed by the UN Security Council, and they are laughing at us, as if that is not important, what is important is that there is a force behind him,” added Dodik.
He said that the Serbian people also have strength, and that their strength is character.
“You can break Milorad Dodik, but not the character of this nation. You send us a shameless person who takes 24,000 euros, walks around BiH and imposes laws. Why should we agree to that? What kind of Europe is it? Why are you lying to us? You wrote to the Venice Commission In 2005, BiH cannot get candidate status if there is an OHR. We also get candidate status, and it becomes even worse than ever,” Dodik assessed.
He asked “who is talking about human rights today and whether it is human rights to suffer an unnamed foreigner who writes and passes laws in BiH”.
“We will have a reckoning with such a Schmidt and with such European values,” he emphasized.
Dodik said that “Muslims in Sarajevo are satisfied with such a Schmidt who will pass a law that goes against Republika Srpska” and asked why they expect Serbs to live with them.
“How will we move forward? I have nothing against Bosniaks. It is a nation that I respect and among whom I have friends. But I am a politician, elected on behalf of a nation that wants to be its own on its own. The nation that received the Republika Srpska, the territory that has been specified, property that has been specified, and you will not get that property,” said Dodik.
He emphasized that, if Schmidt writes laws to transfer forests or other public resources to the BiH level, “at that moment, a decision on independence will be made.”
“Now they will say that I am a threat, but then let them also tell me why they are denying me basic, elementary human rights,” said Dodik, Srna reports.
