Dodik: Without Resolving the Constitutional Court of BiH, there is no Agreement on any other EU Priority

The President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik said that if the issue of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and international representatives is not resolved, no other issue from the 14 EU priorities will be resolved.

According to him, the European path is not disputed and it is not disputed that what was agreed upon at the previous meeting should be implemented, within that there are several important topics, one of which is the law on the Constitutional Court of BiH, he stated for RTRS.

“If we can do that and if we can agree that there are no foreigners in the political system of Bosnia and Herzegovina, we have a European path. If we can’t agree on that, we won’t agree on the law on money laundering or the law on conflict of interest “, said Dodik.

Dodik said that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konaković, “was playing around talking about sanctions and isolation of the RS”.

He assessed that Konaković is trying to be a spokesman for the EU, speaking and threatening sanctions.

“He thought that if he was in the background of the story about the EU, that it would bring him points. It won’t,” said Dodik.

Dodik said he “adores Russia and respects and supports its president Vladimir Putin, just as other EU countries have their equal right to political existence,” Dodik said.

After today’s meetings with German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius and Director General for Europe and Central Asia in the European External Affairs Service Angelina Eichorst, Konaković said that it will be fair that those who block Bosnia and Herzegovina’s European path pay a huge price, Srna news agency writes.
