German politician, President of EPP Women and former Member of the European Parliament Doris Pack condemned the presence of HDZ leader Dragan Covic on marking Republika Srpska Day in Banja Luka, which BiH’s Constitutional Court declared unconstitutional.

She wrote on Twitter that she was ashamed of what Dragan Covic did.

“RS National Day”-forbidden by the Court- attended by the #Serbian  PM and -I cannot believe!- by Mr. #Covic, Leader HDZ BiH. Does he forgot what happened to Croat citizens (+Bosniaks) in the then “so called RS”?How must croats feel taunted? I am ashamed of him,” Pack wrote.

Covic’s presence, along with other HDZ members, was condemned by numerous Croatian officials.

Pack served as a member of the Bundestag 1974–1983 and 1985–1989. She is a member of the conservative Christian Democratic Union, part of the European People’s Party.
