Music star Dua Lipa spoke out after receiving Kosovo citizenship. This delighted her, so after the concert at the Sunny Hill Festival in Pristina, she decided to celebrate with her closest ones.

In a statement, she said that after receiving this citizenship, she feels as though her two sides have united. She was born in London, and her parents, Dukagjin and Anesa Lipa, were born in Pristina. Anesa is originally from Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).

“This completes the duality I’ve always had within me. I love this country, and this means a lot to me and my family,” she added.

It should be recalled that the citizenship was handed to her by the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, who, among other things, stated that she is one of the most important artistic figures in the history of this country.

Dua Lipa performed at the aforementioned festival on Friday, whose director is her father. He joined her on stage, which caused great excitement among those present.

The singer posted a bit of the concert atmosphere on her Instagram profile. She also posed with her sister Rina and brother Gjin. There is also her photo with the citizenship.
