Vice President of Republika Srpska Ćamil Duraković said that the Drina Regatta in Bajina Bašta, which is a touristic and recreational event, turns into a gathering at which convicted war criminals are glorified every year.
“Tourism and recreational event. Recreationally, every year, the organizers also invite Bosniaks to the Drina, and the participants traditionally use the opportunity to glorify convicted war criminals,” wrote Duraković on Facebook.
He added that there are also those who represent a “different and more civilized Serbia”.
“Otherwise, the voice of reason and those we are rooting for should defeat (Serbian President Aleksandar) Vučić, because they represent a different and more civilized Serbia. But there is no need to generalize, because among the pumpkins there are certainly those for whom Ratko Mladić is not a hero, although we can probably count them on one hand,” wrote Duraković.
The media reported earlier that at the Drina regatta in Bajina Bašta, some of the participants, while sailing on the river, sang the nationalist song “Ne volim te Alija”.
According to reports, iconography with the figures of convicted war criminals was also present on the boats.
