Duško Ivanović is the new coach of the basketball team of B&H. This is the decision of the managing board of the Basketball Alliance, which had its session today in Sarajevo.
Many coaches competed for this position once the previous coach Aca Petrovič left his position.
There were talks about Žan Tabak, Dragan Šakoti, Emir Mutapčić or the eventual return of Mensur Bajramović or Sabit Hadžić.
The managing board accepted the proposal of the expert team of the Basketball Alliance of B&H that the Montenegrin expert Duško Ivanović, the winner of many important trophies, would replace Petrović.
Ivanović will have a great representation, led by the captain Mirza Teletović.
The expert from Montenegro will come to Sarajevo for the contract signing by the end of this month and after that should attend group qualifications for European Championship that will be held next year in Ukraine.
Opponents of B&H team for the Euro-basket 2015 will be announced on 3 February.
