The members of Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina Board will discuss in Sarajevo on Tuesday the resignation of national team coach Robert Prosinecki and make the first moves when it comes to his successor.

After returning to Armenia’s capital city, where BiH national team experienced a debacle on Sunday, Prosinecki confirmed his decision, which members of the Football Association of BiH Executive Board should adopt at an extraordinary session today.

The president of the Association, Elvedin Begic and his associates, will have a very demanding task of selecting a new coach, as within a month the national team is playing new qualifying matches for the 2020 European Championships.

The extraordinary session of the Executive Board begins today at 15:00 o’clock, Klix.ba news portal reports.

To recall, after the Armenia-Bosnia and Herzegovina match in which BiH national football team was defeated 4-2, head coach Robert Prosinecki stated that he was resigning as the national team selector.

“I have talked to everyone and, I resign. When I arrived, I believed we would market to the Euro 2020. We have not succeeded in this and the successor will have time to prepare the team for the Nations League. I am no longer a selector,” Prosinecki said during the press conference in Yerevan.
