Malaysia will have a large delegation at the second International Sarajevo Halal Fair (SHF) 2019. During the SHF 2019, many representatives of the Government, business and academic community of Malaysia that is considered one of the world leaders in the halal industry will visit Sarajevo.

Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs, YB Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution bin Ismail, will lead a delegation of companies which will present their products and services and seek partners in Bosnia and Herzegovina and countries in the region. Representatives of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture of Malaysia, led by the Islamic Tourism Centre Director General, YBhg Dato; Sri Abdul Khani bin Daud, announced their arrival to the fair. Their coming will be an excellent opportunity for everyone in the tourism sector to make contacts and explore new market. Pharmaniaga, Malaysia’s largest pharmaceutical company also confirmed their arrival and participation.

The Chairman of the Malaysian Halal Industry Development Corporation, YBhg DatoMahmud Abbas, will lead their delegation. For the first time, one of Malaysia’s largest state universities, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) will participate in the fair. The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Mohd Azraai Kasim, will lead the university’s delegation. As in the previous year, this year also, the representatives of GISB Holding – a company established in the Islamic business principles in various product and service sectors will take part in the fair. Malaysia South-South Association (MASSA) announced their arrival at SHF 2019. The fair will take place at the Skenderija Center in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina on September 26-28.

SHF 2019 participants from BiH and the region will have the opportunity to introduce themselves to major Malaysian trading companies, share experiences, and establish cooperation. Like last year, the BBI VIP Business Club operating within Bosna Bank International (BBI) plans to hold a business roundtable between the Club members and Malaysian businesses and entrepreneurs.

Last year, BBI VIP Business Club organized a roundtable intending to bring closer BH and Malaysian businesspeople. The Malaysian Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina supported the organization of this meeting. During the roundtable, Sarajevo Halal Fair and MIHAS – Malaysian International Halal Showcase, one of the most significant halal industry shows in the world, signed the Memorandum of Understanding. Earlier this year, BBI Bank and BBI VIP Business Club in cooperation with MIHAS organized a presentation of BH companies at this significant event in Kuala Lumpur. King of Malaysia, Al-Sultan Abdullah Al-Mustafa Billah Shah ibni Almarhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Billah, visited the Sarajevo Halal Fair (SHF) stand. The Ambassador of BiH to Malaysia, Emir Hadžikadunić, and the representatives of BBI hosted the King and invited Malaysian businesspeople to visit SHF 2019.
