Jahorina Adventure Park bosniatravels.comThe Olympic Center Jahorina applied with the project “Adventure Park for children in nature” at the newly founded organization ST-EP (Sustainable Tourism-Eliminating Poverty) within the UNWTO. Agreement on establishing International Organization ST-EP was signed by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of B&H on May 25, 2015.

For the purposes of support in the development of tourism, the United Nations World Tourist Organization (UNWTO) donated 50,000 EUR to the Olympic Center Jahorina for the construction of an adventure park for children on Jahorina.

With the aim of decreasing poverty, increasing the number of workplaces, improving the quality of life in community, and protecting natural and cultural heritage, the OC Jahorina strives to strengthen its tourist product through project activities, and precisely one such activity was this project application at the UNWTO.

The reward, for which the most credits go to the Government of the Republic of Korea, was presented to the Director General of the Olympic Center Jahorina Lazarević Velibor and the Director Executive for technic and trails Lolović Branislav at the official conference held in Madrid on November 27, 2015. The conference was attended by the Chairman of the ST-EP organization, representatives of the Government of the Republic of Korea, and the Secretary General of UNWTO Taleb Rifai.

Deadline for the implementation of this project is June 2016.
