The final of the 2026 International Economic Olympiad in ancient Olympia brought great success for the Bosnia and Herzegovina team and a fantastic recognition since Dylan Arouh, a student of the Sarajevo Second High School and a member of the five-member BiH team, won a prestigious silver medal in competition with more than 147 of the most successful young economists from 33 countries of the world.
After successfully passing the rigorous written exams in microeconomics, macroeconomics and financial literacy in the past few days, and excelling in the prestigious Economic Policy Challenge – Pitch competition in the field of finance, BiH high school students confirmed their exceptional level of knowledge.
The peak of the competitive cycle was crowned by this extraordinary success of Dylan Arouh, who deservedly took home the silver medal with his analytical skills and dedication.
We remind you that Dylan arrived in Bosnia and Herzegovina from New York as an exchange student through the YES program, and through IB economics classes in Sarajevo, he developed a huge passion for this science that led him to the world throne.
The success of the Bosnia and Herzegovina team, which in addition to Dylan consisted of Sara Komarica, Tarik Bećarević, Armin Aždajić and Imran Zukić, is the result of dedicated work and great preparation, the Liberal Forum announced.
