BH basketball player Džanan Musa is the most useful basketball player of the Euroleague for the month of January, the Euroleague announced.
While others are experiencing a “depressed” January, the first month of the new year will be remembered by Musa as a good one, after he convinced viewers and experts with his masterful games that he deserves the epithet of the best basketball player in Europe in the past month.
Musa won this individual award after a month in which he played great games, and it is interesting that our basketball player became the second youngest MVP of the month, right after Luka Dončić. Musa is also the first monthly Euroleague MVP to defend the colors of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and this was the first time that three basketball players from the same club won the monthly award in consecutive months. Facundo Campazzo did it in November, and Mario Hezonja in December.
Musa won the MVP award the most after the masterful game he played against his former club, Anadolu Efes in the Euroleague. Then Musa recorded 40 points and 8 assists (both career records in the Euroleague) with a utility index of 45.
Musa’s high score last month was just as remarkable for his scoring efficiency. He made 31 of 42 two-point shots, a 73.8% rate that was fourth in the league last month; 15 of 36 3-pointers at 41.7%; and 32 of 37 free throws at 86.5%. And despite having all that responsibility, Musa committed just 7 turnovers in over 200 minutes on the court last month.
