The captain of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team, Edin Džeko, will no longer wear the jersey of Turkish giants Fenerbahçe after the end of this season.

This news was reported by Turkish media, emphasizing that Fener will not offer the 38-year-old striker an extension of cooperation.

Dzeko will soon turn 39, but he is still playing great football. Since joining the famous Turkish club, he has scored 39 goals and registered 14 assists in 73 games.

Although he is still in great form, according to Turkish media, Fenerbahçe will not offer the Bosnian striker a new contract.

Dzeko has been a free player since June of this year and can join any club for free, and since January 1 he could negotiate with other clubs.

Hajduk is mentioned again as a new destination, but in addition to the Split club, several other serious clubs have shown interest in one of the best players in BiH.

Dzeko started his career in Željezničar, and also played for Wolfsburg, Manchester City, Roma, Inter and Fenerbahce.

He played 139 matches for the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina and scored 67 goals.
