Damir Džumhur, the Bosnian tennis player, qualified for the finals of the ATP Challenger tournament in San Benedetto del Tronto (Italy). The tournament is worth of 35 000 Euros.
A fourth holder of the tournament, twenty-year old player from Sarajevo, in the semifinals beat Slovaks Norbert Gombos with the result 6:4, 6:2.
On Sunday in finals, from 18 hours, Džumhur will play against Austrian Andreas Haider-Maurer.
Džumhur’s placement in the finals secured him 48 points, and eventual victory in the final match would bring him 80 points and progress to the ATP list of approximately twenty positions. Currently he occupies 130th place on the world ranking list.
