In organisation of Forum Theatre in East Sarajevo, workshop of animated film ‘Poetry of Animation’ (Poezija animacije) started, reports FENA.
The workshop was envisioned to be a visual workshop with the accent on puppets in the world of animation.
The workshop will last until 19 February and the attendants of the workshops are pupils from primary schools of East Sarajevo. The first lecture talked about the basics of animation, manner of creating and presenting of optical toys.
In the continuation of workshop, pupils will have the opportunity to find their own space, to meet their own discoveries in that specific film-art expression, using poetic basis in thematic processing of movement and creation of puppet in the animated film.
As a result of the workshop, film ‘Empty-headed needle’ which was inspired by the poem of Duško Milunović has been created, and his verses will be revived through animation, which will be shown on 19 February.
‘Animated film is always shown as an objectification of our inner fantasy. The idea, absurd, humour, they all jointly build a specific poetic. Like a verse, moving images create a fantastic melody of words, drawings and music and so poetry of animation is created’, said art director of Forum Theatre Vitomir Mitrić.
Managers of the workshop are director Dejan Dabić and cartoonist Zoran Stefanović who is also the founder of studio of animated film ‘SCF 98’ in Niš.
Twenty pupils will attend the workshop, and afterwards they’ll receive a certificate which will be held on a presentation on 19 February.
The workshop is being held as a part of International Festival of documentary film and short feature-film ‘Prvi Kadar’, and it is co-financed by Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH and RS Ministry of Education and Culture.
