‘Night of Museums’ in Sarajevo on 18 May

muzeji 1On 18 May, Saturday, event ‘Night of Museums’ will be held in Sarajevo and will offer interesting program to visitors, reports Fena.

‘After meetings and talks with leading people of culture- curators of museums and galleries of Sarajevo and competent ministries, weeare convinced that this year’s Night of Museums will be well visited’, said the Association of Artists ‘Bellarte’ from Sarajevo.

‘Night of Museums’ is a cultural event in organisation of museums and other institutions of culture with the aim to keep museums open in late hours.

The project wants to organise this event at the level of other European cities.

‘Night of Museums 2013’ is internationally marked on 18 May, and it is realized in cooperation with International Council of Museums with the aim of reviving and promoting museums through unconventional art events and also to raise the awareness of citizens about the importance of culture and artt

One of the events to be organised is a round table ‘Critical Review of the status of culture and institutions of culture in BiH’, which will be held on 18 May in Bosniak Institute during which the participants will discuss the problems and offer solutions for the issues of culture in BiH.

It is planned that representatives of institutions of culture of BiH, of festivals, workers of culture, artists and other scientists, as well as media to participate in these talks.
