fruitsThe company for processing of fruit “Prijedorčanka” plans this year to process 15,800 tons of various types of fruit, which is 60 percent more than last year.

The Commercial Director of “Prijedorčanka” Duško Stojančić said that they plan to process 7.000 tons of various types of apples, 4.000 tons of plums, 1.00 tons of pears “viljamovke”, 500 tons of cherries, and other types of fruits.

“The planned quantity of fruit will generally be equally processed in fruit distillates and fruit juice concentrates, and we will use only a small amount for deep freezing and drying’’, said Stojančić.

According to him, they plan to produce between 60.000-70.000 bottles of natural fruit brandy (rakija), which will be 30 percent more than last year.

“The greatest amount of fruit will come from orchards, then from the purchase of local producers, and according to need, imports from Serbia’’, said Stojančić.

“Prijedorčanka” can be found on national and international markets.
