From 21 March citizens of Sarajevo will have the opportunity to see French masterpiece film by Michael Haneke called ‘Amour’.

The film was awarded with prestigious award ‘Palma d’Or’ and critics all around the world praised the film. The film also won an Oscar in the category of the best foreign film.

The film talks about an octogenarian couple who find their love put to the ultimate test when one of them suffers a stroke, and the other must assume the role of the caretaker in this compassionate yet unsentimental drama from director Michael Haneke. Georges (Jean-Louis Trintignant) and Anne (Emmanuelle Riva) are retired classical-music teachers savoring their golden years in a comfortable apartment when Anne experiences a stroke that leaves her partially paralyzed. As devoted Georges struggles with the formidable task of becoming Anne’s full-time caretaker, a visit from their adult daughter Eva (Isabelle Huppert) reaffirms just how secluded from society the highly educated couple have become since retiring.

The film be shown from 21.03 to 27.03 at 8.20 p.m. and from 28.03. to 03.04 at 6 p.m.
