The Show “Sanbaso” Will Close the Japanese Cultural Month

predstavajapanThe traditional Japanese puppet play of Bunraku theater, titled” Sanbaso” will close the Month of Japanese Culture 2013. The play will be held on Monday at the Youth Theatre in Sarajevo.

The play is intended for all ages. The show will be held in Japanese language, with translation into BCS. Bunraku is the name for the traditional Japanese puppet theater, where each doll is managed by one or more male puppeteer. Bunraku Theater was very popular among the majority of the population of Japan in the Edo period (1603-1868) and is one of the most important forms of Japanese performing arts.

The puppet show ”Sanbaso” belongs to Otome Bunraku (female bunraku) where puppets are managed by one or more female puppeteer.

The show ”Sanbaso” is scheduled for Monday, the 14th October, at 19 pm at the Youth Theater in Sarajevo. The entrance is free.
