As an association that for more than three years it provides quality education and support to a large number of children with autism, EUDS – Education For All, this year focuses its activities in the area of public education on the World Day of Autism. UN Resolution marks this date since 2007 with the aim of raising awareness about the disorder that affects the lives of millions of people worldwide. That day emphasizes the importance of an early detection and intervention in autism and promotes the unique talents and abilities of children and adults with autism, as well as the support that is needed to them and their families.
The campaign “Our challenge, our inspiration… How about you?”, part of this year’s EDUS program for 2 April, aims to draw attention to the passivity of B&H society towards children with autism and their future.
To promote these abilities, EDUS in cooperation with Aparat Theater and SARTR organized the play “Zaljubljeni vuk” where children from regular schools with the children from EDUS program have participated.
Showing the video spot and documentary film ( directed by Aleš Kurt, photos by Dženat Dreković) on many TV channels and in Cinema City is one of the main activities to mark the day of autism. The street action where EDUS will distribute blue balloons and will promote the new brochure “Deset stvari koje majka djeteta s autizmom želi svima da poruči” will take place on 2 April, in front of BBI center. This action aims to reduce stigma and to inform people on autism.
