Hungarian Chamber of Commerce, Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina and RS Chamber of Commerce, organized a two-day business meeting of business people from the Republic of Hungary and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Business Forum and B2B Meetings are being held in Sarajevo today at the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and tomorrow the meeting will be held in Banja Luka, at the Chamber of Commerce of RS.
Hungary business delegation is made up of representatives of 18 companies from different economic sectors: metal industry, utilities, electromechanical industry, transport and other. Most of the representatives of the Hungarian economy came to BiH to renew existing or yet to establish new business cooperation.
“The objective of this forum is to bring the Hungarian enterprises to BiH and establish long-term mutual cooperation between companies from Hungary and companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina,” said Attila Galambos from the Chamber of Commerce of Hungary.
Ambassador of Hungary in BiH Jozsef Pandur stressed that the business forum is of great importance for both countries.
“These meetings help to improve good relations and make them even better. The goal is to have the best possible cooperation of business people of the two countries,” he said.
President of the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina Ahmet Egrlić said that the goal of the forum is to try to improve business relations of the companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Hungary because the present situation is not satisfactory for the BiH economy.
“According to the Foreign Trade Chamber, in the first quarter of 2014, BiH export amounted to about 22 million euros, and we import more than 80 million euros of goods from Hungary.
It is primarily wheat, oilseeds, different oils and other food items. We want to increase cooperation in the automotive industry since Hungarians buy a lot of goods from this industry,” said Egrlić.
