Chairman of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kemal Ademović, met today with the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Bosnia and Herzegovina, H.E. Walid Haggag.
The meeting highlighted the traditionally strong and friendly relations between the two countries, with no outstanding bilateral issues. Both sides agreed that there is considerable potential to further strengthen cooperation, particularly in the areas of economy, agriculture, industry, culture, education and tourism.
Special emphasis was placed on the importance of strengthening parliamentary cooperation through more frequent high-level visits and the activities of friendship groups, which were described as an important driver of overall bilateral relations.
Chairman Ademović pointed out Bosnia and Herzegovina’s potential in the defense industry, agriculture and energy sectors, and invited Egyptian investors to consider opportunities for investing in the country.
The two officials also discussed the need to simplify travel between the two countries, noting that easier movement of citizens would directly contribute to an increase in tourism and improve business-to-business cooperation.
Ambassador Haggag reaffirmed Egypt’s strong support for the stability, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as for its European integration path. He expressed readiness to work on concrete initiatives aimed at bringing the two countries closer together and strengthening economic cooperation.
Chairman Ademović wished Ambassador Haggag a successful term in Bosnia and Herzegovina and voiced confidence that bilateral relations and cooperation would be further enhanced during his mandate.
