hevrandukThe European investment Bank (EIB) has approved a loan  to ‘Elektroprivreda B&H’ of up to 375 million Euros for the construction of the hydro power plant ‘Vranduk’. The management board of the European Investment Bank approved the loan after experts conducted an extensive evaluation of the project, and ‘Elektroprivreda B&H’ met all the necessary economic, technical, and environmental conditions, announced the company.

In the next phase, the B&H Council of Ministers will name a delegation to negotiate the loan.

The project ‘Vranduk’ is financed by its own funds and funds from international financial institutions. Elektroprivreda B&H will invest 11 million Euros for construction. EIB approved a loan for the construction of ‘Vranduk’ of 26 million Euros. The credit agreement with EBRD is signed and is operational.

Underway is the international call for the pre-qualification of companies and consortia for the construction of ‘Vranduk’. The deadline for sending documents is 29 April until 12:00. After the closing, there will be an evaluation of all applications sent, and the applicants who pass the pre-qualification stage will receive this May a request to send a bid.

Preparation and research work for the construction of the main project ‘Vranduk’ is underway. The first phase has ended, and the second phase has begun in the expropriation of property, on the location of the construction of the hydro power plant in the area of municipality Zenica.
