Eight Covid-related Deaths recorded in Sarajevo in One Day

Last day, 197 new cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed in the Sarajevo Canton, after laboratory testing of 1,095 samples, the CS Public Health Institute announced.

In the same period, 147 of our fellow citizens recovered from the Covid-19 infection, while unfortunately eight people died.

There are currently 222 patients in hospital, 199 of whom have an acute infection, while the rest are post covid or under observation. The current share of vaccinated persons in the number of hospitalized in our hospitals is 10.8 percent.

145 patients are treated at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, and at the General Hospital “Prim.dr. Abdulah Nakas ”77.

There are six patients on the respirator, 12 use non-invasive ventilation, while three of them are on oxygen support breathing above 15 liters per minute.

Today, Sarajevo Canton records 1,302 active cases of Covid-19 infection. There are currently 2,882 people in self-isolation. Since the beginning of the pandemic in the Sarajevo Canton, a total of 57,652 people infected with the coronavirus have been registered, and 54,990 have been cured.

According to the data of the Institute of Public Health of CS, in the past seven days the average number of infected is 177, while the weekly incidence, ie the number of patients per 100,000 inhabitants, is 294.
