Eight Police Officers were arrested in Kiseljak

Members of the Police Directorate of the Ministry of Interior of Central Bosnia Canton (SBK) arrested eight police officers employed at the Police Station in Kiseljak suspected of abuse of official position or authority and receiving gifts or other forms of benefits.

As part of the operation “Vizir”, which is carried out in cooperation with the competent Travnik Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office and the Kiseljak Municipal Court, searches were carried out at several locations, during which certain material evidence was found that will be used during the criminal proceedings.

“The action is being carried out in the area of Kiseljak, where eight police officers from Police Station  Kiseljak have been deprived of their freedom, due to the suspicion that in the past period they have committed several criminal acts of abuse of official position or authority, receiving a gift or other forms of benefit, as well as other acts with the suspects are connected,” the SBK Ministry of Internal Affairs announced.

After the criminal investigation is completed, the suspect will be handed over to the competent prosecutor’s office for further action.
