The construction of a multi-apartment unit with eight apartments has been completed in the Jablanica settlement of Gornja Kolonija. The Federal Minister of Displaced Persons and Refugees, Edin Ramić, and the Mayor of Jablanica, Damir Šabanović, handed over the keys to the newly built apartments, thus making the move of eight families – users of collective centers – official.

“The arrival of colder days is no longer a concern for these eight families. A modern, functional building was built. We worked diligently to reach this most solemn act today. With the completion of buildings in municipalities, we are also closing collective centers. The new look of these beautiful buildings also changes the look of the surroundings. This is the result of good cooperation between the local community and the Ministry. We are all happy because of today’s act of moving in,” said Ramic.

With the completion of the CEB II project, more than 76 percent of unconditional collective accommodation in the Federation of BiH will be closed.

So far, a total of 473 housing units in 14 municipalities and cities have been reconstructed and built in the Federation within the CEB II project – “Closing of collective centers and alternative accommodation through public housing solutions”, and construction of 313 housing units for twelve is underway in the area of the City of Mostar and Goražde, the Municipality of Ključ, Velika Kladuša, Čelić, Kalesija, Ilidža, Foča FBiH and Pale Prača – added Ramić.
