According to the Sarajevo Canton Public Health Institute, a total of 106,303 cantonal residents have been fully vaccinated so far, representing 32 per cent of the population over the age of 18.

These are data collected through the Information System of the Health Insurance Institute of CS, on the basis of which a cross-section of vaccination against COVID-19 disease was made.

As stated by the institute, out of the total number of fully vaccinated residents, 65,599 of them were vaccinated in health care institutions in CS, while the rest were immunized in health care institutions outside CS.

Of the total number of fully vaccinated, the smallest number are people aged 19 to 25, only 5,026 or 4.7 percent of the population.

In the Sarajevo Canton, 53,377 people are currently waiting for revaccination. Based on these data, and according to the plan and dynamics of revaccination, it is expected that in the next month more than 48 percent of adult citizens of Sarajevo Canton in Bosnia and Herzegovina will be fully vaccinated.

According to the CS Public Health Institute, out of a total of 211 hospitalized patients with COVID-19 disease, 13.3 percent of them were fully vaccinated and 86.7 percent were not vaccinated, BHRT writes.
