At least eight earthquakes were registered in 60 minutes off the coast of Kamchatka, the Kamchatka branch of the United Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences reported.
Seismologists estimated that the earthquakes had magnitudes between 5.4 and 6.7 on the Richter scale, TASS reported.
The agency recalls that an earthquake measuring 8.8 on the Richter scale was registered off Kamchatka yesterday morning, followed by a series of earthquakes measuring five and six.
The earthquake was followed by a tsunami off the coast of several countries, including Russia and the United States.
