electionsCoalition “Pod lupom” proposed the introduction of an electronic scanner for scanning ballots and barcode reader for the identification of voters.

These proposals were submitted to a public call of the Interdepartmental working group for analysis of the situation and proposal of modalities for introduction of new technologies in the electoral process, and the coalition submitted two proposals for the improvement of elections in BiH.

The coalition believes that this proposal would prevent possible abuse of the human factor in electoral fraud.

“With the combination of the first proposal on the introduction of the electronic scanner to scan the ballots and the second proposal, it would be almost impossible to vote on behalf of another person or to influence on voting results after the poll stations are closed,” as said from the coalition “Pod lupom”.

They call on the Interdepartmental working group to analyze the situation and proposal of modalities for introduction of new technologies in the electoral process to seriously consider these proposals and put all current human and financial capacities on disposal for help in any way, with the aim of contribution to free and fair elections in BiH and in order to put into force significant improvement of the electoral process.
