Member of Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Sefik Dzaferovic has filed a request for an emergency session of the presidency regarding the coronavirus situation.

The session should be held on Monday. The request was sent to the cabinets of the other two BiH Presidency members Milorad Dodik and Zeljko Komsic.

The total number of people infected in Bosnia and Herzegovina has increased to 24 on Sunday, Vijesti.ba news portal reports.

Two new cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed in Republika Srpska entity, raising the total number of patients in that entity to 20, RS Prime Minister Radovan Viskovic confirmed on Sunday.

He said after a meeting that all official travel from RS to any neighboring country and the European Union is banned.

He said that it was determined that certain business entities and citizens did not comply with the measures of RS Government and local communities, which would require the possibility of a telephone session of the RS National Assembly to amend the Criminal Code and penalties for non-compliance with those measures.

Viskovic announced that the number of employees in public institutions would be reduced.

“From the morning hours a certain number of officers will do their jobs from home, and only those who are necessary for smooth work will come to work,” he said at a press conference.
