Untitled-1Preparations for this year’s, 15th in a row international biennial international festival INTERBIFEP, which will be held in the international portrait gallery in Tuzla from 17 September to 2 November 2013, are underway. The reputation of this festival, which is very important for Tuzla and BIH, is confirmed by the appointment of a three-member jury made up of renowned artists.

The selection of works that will be awarded at this year’s festival will be carried out by Professor of Art and Painting with a current engagement with the Faculty of Art and Design in Ankara Atilla Ilkayaz, Elise Del Preste, curator, founder and artistic director of residence for international artists and curators “Nosadela Due” from Bologna and Fellow of the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, and the BIH painter Ismar Mujezinović.

There will be portraits in the categories of drawings, prints, photographs and video clips of the 126 authors from 40 countries. Around 800 works were sent to the international gallery from 258 authors from 52 countries. After the selection of authors that will be presented, it is certain that the public will have the chance to see excellent works by authors from the entire world using various techniques.

During the festival, the jury will have a difficult task to choose the best works that will be awarded: diploma for drawing and graphics, photography and video art portraits, the diploma “Ismet Mujezinović and James H Pinto, and the audience award for the best painting. The awarded works will be published on 17 October at the official ceremony.

INTERBIFEP organized the international portrait gallery in Tuzla in 2011. Just like two years, the various events are planned: concerts, roundtables, promotions, meetings, education and many other activities.
