end of water reductions“We are pleased that we can do more for Sarajevo, we are ready to support projects that are at the top of priorities of your needs“, emphasized yesterday Lin O’Grady, the assistant director for the utility structure from the headquarters of EBRD (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development) in London. Mrs. O’Grady has together with Ian Jennings, the specialist for the urban traffic and Kjetil Tved, the economist from the same central about the projects of reconstruction of the utility structure, with the Prime Minister of Canton Sarajevo, Elmedin Konakovic and ministries in the Government of Canton Sarajevo.

According to earlier agreements, in projects that should be realized in the next three to five years, Canton Sarajevo has singled out the needs of financing the reconstruction of the water supply network, reconstruction of the tram tracks with solving of the issues of payment of the public transport and investment in the vertical transport and the artificial snow on Bjelasnica.

“In the next few days we will send you official letters and projects of the transport and utility infrastructure with elements that are needed for the further procedure. After that, we can sign, as you recommended, a memorandum on understanding that will define projects and investment plans in the next five years“, emphasized the Prime Minister Konakovic.

They in EBRD are ready to finance the preparations of the projects and their implementation, and are emphasizing once more that the complete technical readiness of the projects and acceptance of measures of restructuring the relevant utility companies are conditions without which the realization of these credits will be impossible.
