The soldier Šerif Zjakić became a second lieutenant in the United Kingdom after having successfully completed the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.
Training mostly took place in the United Kingdom, but the military exercises were performed in France and Germany as well. This is an advanced course that is based on the principles of infantry with a lot of military exercises such as the conduction of 5-15 days in the woods, marching hundreds of kilometers with heavy equipment up to 60 kilograms etc.
As a soldier of the Armed Forces of B&H, he was sent in April 2014 in the United Kingdom on this training, where he achieved great results for which he was awarded.
He received the award for the best cadet at the Defense Academy of United Kingdom, where he stayed for three months, and was awarded with Hodson’s Horse Merit Award for outstanding academic and military results at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst as well.
He is the first BH soldier who has earned awards for mentioned capacity, and the fifth from B&H, who has completed the Royal Military Academy.
His desire is to inspire young people through his own example, who, as he says, have lack of hope, desire and will, but who would like to become part of a better future for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
