Erling Haaland has become a father, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has revealed.
The Norway international bagged his 14th Premier League goal of the season, and his first since scoring in the 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace, Guardiola accidentally revealed that Haaland has become a father for the first time, as he has not commented on the matter before.
“Sometimes Erling gets judged unnecessarily, but that’s part of football. He’s tired, he’s played a lot of minutes. He’s become a father for the first time in the last few days, a lot of emotions and an exciting few days for him,” Guardiola said after the match against Leicester.
In October, Haaland revealed that he and his girlfriend Isabel Haugseng Johansen were expecting a child, but until now it was not known whether she had given birth and the baby’s gender is still unknown.
Haaland scored his 14th Premier League goal of the season, ending a run of three consecutive games without a goal.
