Ervin Macic, a student of the ninth grade of Mirsad Prnjavorac Primary School in Vogosca, won the bronze medal at the Balkan Mathematical Olympiad held in Cyprus.
At this competition of the best mathematicians Balkan, Macic won the medal after winning the cantonal competition, won second place in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the third at the level of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
And other members of the BH team were successful.
Benjamin Mujkic won silver, and bronze were brought to Bosnia and Herzegovina by Abdullah Ferhatbegovic, Asja Catic and Tadija Matic.
The aims of the Balkan Mathematical Olympiad (BMO) include the challenging, encouragement and development of mathematically gifted school students in all participating member countries, the fostering of friendly relations among the students and teachers of the member countries.
Also, the creation of opportunities for the exchange of information of school syllabuses and practices within the member countries.
