After just 40 days of war between Iran, the United States and Israel, Tehran has emerged with heavy losses and extensive damage to its critical civilian infrastructure. Many Iranians have lost their jobs, while factories, power plants, airports and bridges have been destroyed.

Iran has suffered huge economic losses estimated at between $140 billion and $145 billion, Al Arabiya TV reported on Friday, citing the Israeli daily Jerusalem Post.

Meanwhile, the head of the Iranian Red Crescent, Pirhossein Kolivand, said that 125,630 non-military facilities had been damaged during the war. This included about 100,000 residential units, some completely destroyed, and others partially damaged, as well as about 23,500 commercial units. He added that 339 medical facilities – including hospitals, pharmacies, laboratories, health centers and emergency rooms – had also been damaged.

Kolivand also spoke about attacks on treatment centers, explaining that rocket attacks damaged the Red Crescent Rehabilitation Complex located next to Khatam Hospital. He said several nearby establishments sustained significant damage.

The head of the Iranian Red Crescent said that 32 universities were damaged, while around 857 schools and educational centers were affected. He added that 20 Red Crescent facilities were directly hit.

As for infrastructure damage, Kolivand said about 15 key infrastructure locations were affected, along with five fuel depots. Airports and civilian aircraft were also damaged.

In addition, 49 rescue vehicles were damaged during rescue operations and 43 ambulances were hit while providing services, some of which were directly hit by missiles.
