Construction work on the main road M-17.3 Neum-Stolac, LOT 1 and LOT 2 sections represent the first in a series of projects for modernization of the road of FBiH in the future. Previously, it was announced that the roads of Neum to Stolac represents a road that means life for BiH city on the sea and that tourists usually go to Neum via Metkovic.
The value of the construction of this road is estimated at 87 million BAM. The road from Stolac to Neum is 5.1 km long, and the last great investment for this road with two tracks was in 1984 during the Olympic Games in Sarajevo, when one km was built from the direction of Neum and 15 km from Stolac.
Now you can get to Neum via Svitava which is a dangerous and uncertain terrain or by passing through Croatia, and many people believe that Neum, after Croatian accession to the EU, came to a certain stage of neglect.
