EU Delegation: Rising Tensions are undermining the constitutional Order of BiH

The delegation of the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina today expressed regret because the leadership of the RS entity decided to raise tensions, including proposing a series of actions that undermine the constitutional order of BiH, the functionality of its institutions and fundamental freedoms.

The EU Delegation points out that this choice not only harms the interests of the citizens, but also represents an obstacle to BiH’s path to the EU.

“The green light for accession negotiations showed that dialogue instead of escalation produces results. It is not too late to return to the negotiating table,” said the EU Delegation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Today’s response from the EU Delegation in BiH followed the adoption by the National Assembly of the RS of the Draft Election Law of the RS, which calls for, among other things, the departure of the ambassadors of the USA, Germany and Great Britain and the high representative.
