COM EUFOR delivered the opening address to participants of the Strategic Leadership Course at the Peace Support Operations Training Centre (PSOTC) in Camp Butmir, Sarajevo this week. The course brings together military professionals from across the region and beyond, focusing on the development of advanced leadership skills essential for modern Peace Support Operations.

In his remarks, COM EUFOR highlighted the vital role of continuous professional development in strengthening the effectiveness of military leaders. He emphasised that high quality training programmes such as the Strategic Leadership Course are fundamental to ensuring best practice, improving decision making, and enhancing cooperation in complex operational environments.

COM EUFOR also commended PSOTC’s longstanding contribution to building leadership capacity and fostering interoperability among partner nations. He noted that investing in leadership development is not only a professional obligation but a strategic necessity for maintaining stability and supporting peace efforts.

The Strategic Leadership Course continues to serve as a key platform for preparing current and future leaders to meet the challenges of Peace Support Operations with confidence, competence, and a shared commitment to excellence.
