With the Croatian accession to the EU, the EU will move closer to BiH, said Peter Stano, the Spokesperson for the European Commissioner for Enlargement Stefan Fule in an interview with FENA.
“Common EU borders could become a real bridge if the focus is on reform’’, said Peter Stano.
He thinks that Croatia’s accession to the EU is an opportunity for BiH and its economy, but provided that BiH adapt to EU standards.
“BiH will have many reasons for reform of its system and legislation. Alignment with the EU, which also includes Croatia, will help BiH in its own EU aspirations. Slovenia’s accession also shows that Slovenian employers looked for workers from Croatia, BiH, Serbia and other countries in the region. The same can happen with Croatia, having in mind that there is no language barrier between these countries’’, said Stano.
